John Gilmore was serving the Walker Mission of the Tuscaloosa District on the Blount Circuit in 1844 according to the Minutes of Alabama Conference for the Methodist Episcopal Church 7 Dec 1843. The Walker Mission was on the eastern part of Walker Co., AL. I calculated he died there. Of course he could have gotten sick and had to give up his commision to go back to Monroe Co., MS where some of his children were and where it seems he settled before taking on the roll of deacon for the methodist church. It is likely he is buried either in the eastern part of Walker Co., AL or the northern part of Monroe Co., MS. The Conference minutes for the next year of the AL conference have him passing away thatyear put don’t have an obituary for him.

She’s probably one of the girls marked age between 0-5 years of age (born btw 1835-1840) though in the 1850 census Jane is 18 which would make her born abt. 1832. She should have been marked as 5-10 years of age in 1840.
